Schloss Restaurant in Neuenbuerg

Ordered a delicious fish stew on Sunday for 4 adults and 2 children 😊 It consisted of fish fillet, mussels, prawns, seafood and potatoes 😍 Just greatand the best thing was that we got it in a terracotta pot 🤩 a great change and great solution to the whole packaging madness. PS: it worked for everyone and there was still enough left for a second serving

We tried today the Caldeirada á Pescador and it was spectacular, so satisfying it felt like soul food, a generous portion in a beautiful terracota pot a highly recommendable dish from the Schloss Restaurant. I can't wait to get now one like this with their amazing lamb! Edit - the desert included in the picture is home made, added just for aesthetic purposes. ---- Edit: We tried also the lamb in the terracota pot, I had already reviewed the lamb from the Neuenbürg Schloss Restaurant however prepared and served in this terracota pot it was specially tender and flavorful, and both me and my friend coincided this is just the best lamb dish we have tried. The lamb will indeed have you craving for this dish, be advised if you try it, it is likely you will have to have it over and over again! --- Second Edit: We tried all Terracota Pot dishes now with the Kalbfleisch-Eintopf and it was really a nurturing dish after a cool hike in the area. My personal favorite remains their Eingelegtes Lamm however any of these options in the Terracota pot is a generous portion, a delightful meal, and a cultural experience in its own right.

Very, very recommendable. We once enjoyed caldeirada a pescador and once the lamb stew in wine sauce with baked potatoes. Both were great. It was the very best lamb I have ever eaten. Incredibly tender. Corona requires "only" take away. But that is also absolutely recommendable. It was arranged very nicely in the terracotta pot, so everything stayed perfectly warm during transport and looked great at home. A great idea. I'm really looking forward to hopefully soon going to eat "really" in this wonderful restaurant again.

A recession for everyone considering celebrating a wedding in the castle: + The location and the Fürstensaal are very beautiful + The food is very good and plentiful, if not cheap + Good wine selection & free wine tasting in advance - Agreement and communication unfortunately a bit slow - Except for the head waiter, there was unfortunately no motivated service staff in the evening, ordering drinks turned out to be difficult, even for the bridal couple / partly. the buffet was only occupied by one person - Very experienced execution; little "passion" - the wedding was "processed"; not surprising given the number of weddings - Advance consultation must definitely be more detailed; There was no information from the operator: e.g. the rest of the food was unfortunately thrown away automatically "You should have said in conversation that you want to take it away ..."; Unfortunately we lacked the experience ... - Be careful with smoke machines / smoke alarms: Unfortunately, we had an expensive job because of a smoke machine, although according to the fire brigade these smoke alarms can be turned off accordingly / information to the control center in advance is apparently possible. There was nothing about this in the contract and e.g. Fireworks for the cake were explicitly allowed, the situation was very annoying and surprising for everyone involved. Conclusion: a nice evening with a few flaws.

Great, you have to admit that. The ambience is very good. The dishes all look wonderful and plentiful. The castle is used for weddings and large events. It's also wonderful to feel good here. Rooms from the vaulted cellar to the great hall can be found here. The rich wines from Portugal can be enjoyed here in large numbers. It's worth testing.

There were four of us here today and we enjoyed great Portuguese flair, wonderful white and rose wines from the aletejo, as well as authentic fish and meat dishes. Feel like we are on vacation. At the end there was a homemade aguardiente from the boss personally. The castle atmosphere rounds off a wonderful experience in Neuenbürg ...

Were simply delicious for dinner today. Would love to come back!

Free running dog Dogs are allowed to enter the courtyard and the restaurant. Arrived at the table in the courtyard, a small free-running white dog came up and belongs to the restaurant. Without warning, he jumped up and bit our dog's nose. No growling, nothing, it took quite a while for an employee to come and take the dog away. It was just as long before a little apology came, saying that he had never done that before. A picture of the nose was made, however, because I referred to a possible visit to the vet, depending on the wound healing and the corresponding calculation. We had to ask for water four times. The owner didn't look after her guests and our dogged dog. Less than 20 minutes later, the restaurant dog was again running freely in the yard. The last time we were there.

We went to the castle restaurant with friends on Saturday. The ambience in the castle is nice, but what stands out is the super friendly and very attentive service of the two brothers. There are Portuguese specialties on the menu that are very authentic and deliciously prepared. In the Black Forest you cannot avoid taking a few standards like steak, schnitzel and game on the menu. We chose Portugal and were not disappointed. Sinceros agradecimentos.

Nice restaurant in the old castle walls. Pfanno (filled pancake batter like a pizza) was delicious but not a really surprising taste experience. Routine, friendly service, toilets accessible at ground level.
